How Quinn Slocum Built Best Celebrations, MetaV3rse, and @culture
Meet Quinn. The co-founder of MetaV3rse, Best Celebrations, and @culture

His Origin
As a kid, Quinn Slocum played lacrosse in high school.
At 13 years old, he started to edit sports highlights on Vine, and everything changed.
It led to him launching a page focused on the houses of athletes. But most weren't owned by them.
At first, the account was a side thing, before he decided to launch the media brand called Best Celebrations in August 2014.
It started out as a sports account.
Best Celebrations had over 2.8M followers and over 1 billion views.
The Business Journal reported that it worked with more than 16 professional sports teams, including the NFL, MLB, NBA, and NHL. Also, it secured deals with Nike, the NFL, and MLS. The logos for two Super Bowl winning teams, the Seahawks and Eagles, will also appear next to it.
Exit to Animal Capital
Best Celebrations was acquired by Animal Capital last month (June 2026).
Animal Capital is a VC firm that focuses on consumer brands at the forefront of the modern economy. The firm has backing from Anthony Scaramucci and the Winklevoss twins, among others.
The deal was led by partners Evie Whiting and Nima Mohebbi.
Culture and MetaV3rse
MetaV3rse was Quinn's next venture after Best Celebrations.
He co-founded MetaV3rse in 2021 alongside Roberto Nickson, taking on the CMO role.
The company ran its Instagram positioning the page as a go-to source on tech and internet lifestyle.
Under that banner, the account grew past a million followers and put out thousands of posts, becoming one of the mainstream voices trying to bring everyday people into Web3.
Quinn, as a photographer, minted his own prints and sold them through the platform Foundation, his first drop selling out in 24 hours.
He also runs @culture on IG and culture.shop, where he posts about sports, pop culture, and entrepreneurship.
Getting over 115k+ followers, it's one of the most important handles on the internet.
