Early Days

Cormac started as a self-taught developer.

In 2020, he joined the fitness app Imbue as a developer and designer. One of his apps had already reached the Top 10 on the App Store.

By 2022, he had built Ownchain, an NFT platform. From there, he moved through AI, eventually focusing on the health niche by 2024.

Building Oasis

Cormac built the first version of Oasis himself. He lab-tested popular water brands without technical cofounders or investors.

His biggest rise came from creating Reels and TikToks that broke down popular drinks and beverages, showing what appeared in their lab reports while naturally introducing the app. He did this consistently, and soon the videos went viral.

Within seven months of launch, Oasis was doing $23k a month. Cormac shared the journey on X and built everything in public, which brought more users and trust. He did it without traditional ads, generating millions of views across the internet.

Business and Lawsuits

Oasis ran on a subscription model, with a free tier and a paid tier for full readings and ratings. The app passed 100k users on Google Play and earned 4.7-star reviews, driven largely by organic marketing and user-generated content from Reels and TikTok.

But soon, problems started knocking on his door. In June 2026, the electrolyte brand LMNT sued Cormac and Oasis in Delaware.

LMNT accused Oasis of making false and miscalculated claims. The case is still open, and a number of other lawsuits followed. Cormac has covered the story through his short-form videos.

Cormac is also building FNDR House, a group for founders, operators, designers, and people building products.
